The Victory of Huai Hai Campaign
Description
The military conflicts, Huaihai Campaign, in the late stage of the Chinese Civil War between the Chinese Nationalist Party and the Chinese Communist Party lasted from November 1948 to January 1949. The Nationalists lost half a million troops in this Campaign. The Chinese Communist Party took over east China region north to the Yangtze River and central plains region. The offensive directly threatened the political and economic center of Nanjing and Shanghai ruled by the Chinese Nationalist Party. With the defeat in Huanhai Campaign, it became more difficult for the Nationalists to organize effective defense against the Chinese Communist Party.
