反内战反独裁 fǎn nèizhàn fǎn dúcái No Civil War, No dictatorship ; 争民主争自由 zhēng mínzhǔ zhēng zìyóu Fight for democracy, fight for freedom ; 反饥饿反内战 fǎn jī’è fǎn nèizhàn No Hunger, No Civil War ; "Unity is strength" is a song indicating strong opposition of Japanese imperialism of the masses. The song was later spread among the people. In May 1947, student movements spread nationwide for opposing the Chinese Civil War. They carried signs shown in the papercut, shouted slogans, and sang songs like "Unity is strength" in chorus.
