The Dawn of the East
Spread of Marxism-Leninism in China stemming from the October revolution in Russia laid ideological foundation for the establishment of the Communist Party of China. The First National Congress of the Communist Party of China was held in Shanghai in late July in 1921.

Crossing the Yellow River to the east
Attributed to the start of the Second Sino-Japanese War on July 7, 1937, the Chinese Nationalist Party and the Communist Party of China agreed to form a temporary alliance for resisting the Empire of Japan. As a result of the truce between the Chinese Nationalist Party and the Communist Party of China, the Red Army was reorganized into the New Forth Army and the Eighth Route Army. The reorganized Eighth Route Army departed from Shaanxi, crossed the Yellow River, and fought during the Battle of Taiyuan, which was a major battle fought between China and Japan.

“The Chinese People Have Stood Up” was Mao Zedong’s opening address at the First Plenary Session of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference on 21 September 1949. Mao declared the founding of the People's Republic of China on October 1, 1949 on Tiananmen Square in Beijing where 300,000 troops and civilians gathered together. The ceremony included military parade, gun salutes and firework display, and parade with music and dance.

Join forces in Jinggang Mountains
Mao Zedong and his troops, who had participated in the Autumn Harvest Uprising, reached Jinggang Mountains in October 1927, and established a guerrilla base. In April 1928, Zhu De and his Nanchang Uprising troop reached Jianggang Mountains and joined Mao Zedong. The Fourth Army and the Jinggangshan Revolutionary Base Area were formed then.
